The Goddess of the Horned God
You bring me the full moon clenched
between your teeth, your dark
horns an echo of your pale
prisoner's waxing and waning.
I shiver as you roll the cool
moon down my folded flesh, across
my breasts, my belly.
My fear rides with the moon, caught
like a bubble between your teeth.
You raise your long face to mine.
Invitation waivers in your embryo smile. Only one so young would have dared
the moon, the violet moon that floats
serenely away from the keep of your teeth.
