Teresa Gibson in Her Own Words

I am a 36 year old female from East Tennessee. I am a single mother of two beautiful children, ages 13 and 16. They are my very best friends, and the love of my life.

I started writing poetry and short stories at age 10. It was a way to vent the problems I was faced with everyday. Sickness in my family, death of family members and friends, drugs, alcohol, and violence.

I was one of 7 children and had a wonderful set of parents. It was always my desire to make my parents proud of me and to be the best person I could be. In spite of a somewhat hard life, I feel I have always sought to become someone my parents could be proud of, and I feel I have done just that.

I love people and thrive on making others happy. I work with the aged as well as physically and mentally challenged individuals everyday. I love my work and feel it was a calling from God. The utmost desire in my life is always staying in the will of God for I know that I cannot make it alone in this world. He will help me stay where I need to be.

I hope that I can atleast reach one person or touch one life. Affecting just one soul will be worth my journey.
